    BHM&CT is an undergraudate course designed to train young and enthusiastic students for service in the hospitality industry. The minimum eligibility for admission to this course is 50 per cent aggregate in 10+2 in any stream. This is a three year course divided into six semesters with extensive industrial training in food production, food and beverage service, front desk and housekeeping.
     
    Minimum requirements for admission to BHM&CT programme are:
    • Minimum of 18 years and maximum of 21 years of age with 10+2 or equivalent
    • Hospitality orientation and good personality.

    Candidates should also have the following qualities:

    • They should be committed to academics, practical learning and personal development.
    • They should be focussed on taking their career to the supervisory level in the international hospitality industry.
    • They should demonstrate curiosity, tolerance and open-mindedness towards other cultures.
    • They should be able to set realistic goals and work hard to achieve them while doing BHM&CT at DrNCHM.

    BHM&CT is a vocational course with focus on professional skills and kowledge necessary for job in the hospitality industry or helping the students set up their own business in catering or hotel industry. The hospitality industry is a growing sector opening up new opportunities for the students to pursue their interests in the field of hotel management and catering.
     
    Admission Procedure:
     
    • A student can collect the application form and prospectus by paying Rs.1000.00(One Thousand Rupees only) from the college counter or can also send DD of Rs. 1000.00 in favour of Dr.Narayana Degree College of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, payable at Machabolarum Branch, Secunderabad.
    • The Student must submit the duly filled application along with 10+2 pass certificate (photo copy) and the first term fee in person.
    • Students are admitted on the basis of first come, first served.
    • If the student's Intermediate / 10+2 Certificate is not accepted by the University, the rgistration will stand null and void.
    • Once the fee is paid, it will not be returned under any reasons, including ill health.
    • An amount of Rs. 5000.00 will be changed if the student wants to cancel the registration.

This course is also the best integrated course for students who are keen on learning new techniques in food preparation and who want to make a career out of it. The course provides the students a plat\form to learn cooking of a level equivalent to chefs and pursue it as their career.
